The Tether Tug is an innovative toy that dogs love.  It simulates dogs' favorite game - tug-of-war!  Animal behaviorists theorize that dogs love tug-of-war because it mimics the hunting, scavenging, and grabbing skills that dogs have honed for millions of years. This grabbing and shaking play is instinctual an excellent way for dogs to get some high-intensity exercise while channeling their energy into creative play.  But their strength and agility at this game can quickly wear out their human playmates. Small breeds are sometimes prone to hyper-activity and anxiety when not allowed enough exercise or mental stimulation.  The Small/Puppy Tether Tug has been specially designed for puppies or dogs under 15 pounds.  This Tug has a soft braided fleece toy that allows smaller dogs easier grabbing and pulling without hurting their smaller jaws or delicate teeth. The braided fleece hangs lower to the ground so that miniatures and puppies can easily grab it and shake and tug to their heart’s content.

The Small/Puppy Tether Tug comes with a 55" pole that is flexible and bendable, an in-ground base that allows the tug to remain firmly in the ground and be removed when needed, and a braided fleece toy with a "quick connector" to allow for easy changing of toys when needed.
