The attached toy is braided fleece toy and smaller so it won't harm their delicate teeth. The Original Tug aka the Medium Tug is for dogs between 15 lbs and 35 lbs. The knots are a little lower on the 22" rope so it is easier for small to medium dogs to reach. The Large Tug is for dogs 35 lbs-60 lbs and strong pullers under 35 lbs. The solid core post is thicker and a bit stronger and the rope toy is set higher off the ground. The Extra Large Tug is for dogs over 60 lbs and any size strong pulling breed (Pit Bull, Rotweiller,German Shepard). The in-ground base is heavy duty and has the thickest and strongest solid core post.
